INSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES
The guiding principles of COLEGIO JOSÉ MANUEL RESTREPO IED are based on the student’s full and holistic development as a human being and on the practice of values that lead to the recognition of their rights and the fulfillment of their duties. The institutional principles aim to foster in students autonomy, responsibility, personal and professional development, social harmony, and civic education, and to ensure that the reaffirmation of national identity—based on respect for diversity, equality, and the conscious and autonomous exercise of citizens’ rights—is an essential characteristic. Learning is grounded in the development of students and the community, based on communication skills in English, research, science, and ICT tools.
Providing a high-quality service characterized by transparency in the management of the academy and its administrative activities, grounded in its members’ commitment to promoting the common good. The participation and engagement of all segments of the community will be a fundamental element in decision-making, within an atmosphere of responsibility, harmony, solidarity, and mutual respect.
